State Fair

We took our first family trip to the State Fair. It was pretty warm but suprisingly the crowds were not bad at all. Seth had a great time!
We decided to ride the DART so that we didn't have to fight parking and we figured Seth would like taking a train ride. It dropped us off right at the entrance of the fair.
Me and Seth in front of Big Tex!

Watching the kids rodeo. You had to be 3 to enter so Seth just got to watch.

Seth, of course, loved the cowboys. All day he kept wanting to go back and see the cowboys.

I was a little nervous with Seth's little fingers so close to this ostrich. He looked evil!

Seth's New Ride

Seth loves his new scooter! His favorite thing is to go down the driveway as fast as he can.

What a big boy!

We couldn't ask for better weather to go for a ride.

Daddy's showing Seth how to push.

This picture has nothing to do with Seth's new scooter, but when we got inside tonight we ran across Seth's Halloween costume from last year. We talked him into putting it on and he ran around the house saying "Boo!". It was a little snug but I thought it was so funny that he could still fit in it. Now we have to start thinking about what he will be this year.

Happy 2nd Birthday to my baby!

I know that I'm going to sound like my mom here, but I can clearly remember 2 years ago when the nurse handed Seth to me. I felt like I could have held him forever and never put him down. He was so perfect with his pudgy little nose, pouty lips, and "highlighted" hair! Seth has made the last 2 years of our lives the best years that we have ever had. He is funny, crazy, wild, and sweet all at the same time. Every time he enters a new "stage", I claim it is my favorite. Sometimes I wish I could stop him from growing, but each day is a new joy with new smiles, hugs, laughter! I am so blessed to have such a precious son and I truely thank God for him everyday.

We started our birthday celebration last Saturday with an Elmo party!

Happy Birthday Seth!!!

I am so glad that we could set the bounce house up in our church gym. The kids loved it and I would have been up a creek (literally) without it.

Sweet Hannah. She is such a girly girl!

Seth's friend from church, T.J.

What a happy kid!
Go Savannah! Another girly girl. You should have seen her pretty princess shoes. She was so proud of them on Sat., but showed up to church on Sun. with huge blisters. You know what they say, "Beauty knows no pain!"

Seth got tons of great presents. Thanks everyone! Seth is having a blast riding his scooter, reading books, beating on drums, hitting balls, and a lot more!

Seth's cousin, Beau.

After school on Wed., Seth's real birthday, we headed to a Mickey D's that Shawna told us about. It had a really cute pirate theme.

Cheese!!!

Run Seth!!!
Seth loves tractors, so mommy and daddy got him a new remote controlled tractor.

The best present EVER!

On our way to school on Seth's birthday. Notice he has my iphone in his hand. He loves playing games on it. There are lots of really cool toddler games.
Yummy cupcake!!

Seth brought juice and cupcakes to share with his friends at school. Mommy even got to go out and take some pictures! I love him being at my school!

" What's this?"
"Yeah! The tractor I picked out at Toys r Us last night." :)

Are you ready for some football?

Seth is!! He's got his new Longhorn shirt on and loves to watch any sport that involves a ball (at least for a few minutes). We had a great time last weekend at The Selby's watching football, eating and visiting. I do have to say that Seth's favorite part of the night was putting make up on with the little girls. Shhh! Don't tell Shawn.
Hook em' horns!!

Another one of Seth's favorite activities. Bubbles!!!

On Sunday afternoon, we headed over to Mimi and Pop's house. Seth kept asking for them all weekend! For some reason, he thought they were coming over. He is chowing down on corn. I usually cut it off the cob but he loved eating it just like this! I think he ate at least 2 ears.
I just thought this picture was cute. Seth was trying to get every last bit of cereal and milk from the bowl.

My Little Leopard

Seth is now offically a Lovejoy Leopard! I am so excited to have him at my school with me this year. I am very lucky to work for a district that cares so much about families that it has a daycare (and a good one at that) just for their employees kids. I am doubly lucky to work at the school where the daycare is housed. Seth has been in school for 3 weeks now and even though he does not like it when mommy leaves, he loves his new friends. He ask to see his friends every night and today he didn't want to leave because he was having so much fun. I guess that's a good thing.

Headed out the door on the first morning of school.

This is the only picture I snapped as I walked out the door. He wasn't crying so I didn't want to push my luck.

Seth loved the bounce house at the "Back to School Bash" at our church.

Seth and Savannah enjoying a snack together. This was the first time Seth ever had popcorn and I think he ate about 5 cupfuls. Savannah on the other hand, liked the snowcones.

Computer Timeout

Some of you may be wondering why I haven't blogged in so long. No, my new kindergarteners (all 17 of them) have not killed me yet. My computer, on the other hand, is about to drive me crazy. It crashed on me for the 2nd time!! I guess it's time for me to get a new one. :) Anyway, as soon as I get my pictures on Shawn's computer, I will update my blog with pictures of my precious baby!
